Although travel demand has begun to taper off and even out since the post-pandemic boom, demand for hotels and events is still high, with no signs of slowing down. Planners are as busy as they’ve ever been sourcing top meeting hotels, enticing destinations, and authentic event experiences.

More than $16 billion in meetings and events revenue was sourced through Cvent’s online platforms in 2023, demonstrating that planners trust Cvent to help them find the top meeting hotels for their groups and events. We understand what planners need, so we streamlined the sourcing process by reviewing every hotel in our supplier network to identify the best of the best.

Methodology

To identify the top meeting hotels in the world, we evaluated all of the properties that generated business on the Cvent Supplier Network between January and December of 2023.

What research did we do?

Our team designed a carefully crafted assessment that analyzed specific criteria to provide the most accurate and comprehensive reflection of each hotel’s performance.

Which data points did we analyze?

Across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific regions, and the Middle East, we evaluated CSN hotels for various performance indicators, including:

From remote resorts to unique boutique properties, we examined every hotel that generated revenue through the Cvent Supplier Network (CSN). Then, we gathered the top-rated hotels from each region and organized them based on rank.

So, which meeting hotels topped the list in North America?

Tips for becoming a top meeting hotel

The top meeting hotels in the world are distinctive—unforgettable. They stand out against the competition. Follow these tips to raise your property’s rank and generate more event revenue.

  1. Identify unique selling points. Solidify your position as a top meeting hotel by celebrating what sets your hotel apart. After pinpointing your hotel’s unique selling points, create captivating ads highlighting them. Pay attention to hotel marketing trends impacting your destination to harness the energy of already-trending campaigns.

  1. Invest in flexible event spaces and innovative tech. Install digital meeting room technology, portable walls, and other event amenities that make your function space more versatile. Look for creative ways to incorporate hybrid meeting tools and business travel solutions in hotel event spaces.

  1. Elevate food and beverage (F&B) options for events. If you haven’t already, consider expanding your F&B department to include expanded meal service, seasonal menus, or onsite catering. Upgrade coffee stations, update your menu, and offer customizable catering packages that feature fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

  1. Promote your destination. Keep up with destination marketing trends impacting your area to attract the attention of actively sourcing decision-makers. Work with a destination marketing organization (DMO) to create enticing marketing campaigns to bring more business to your market.

  1. Embrace a unique design. Planners’ sourcing windows are getting shorter, with many decision-makers seeking unique, memorable event venues that they won’t have to put extra effort into decorating. Help event professionals save time and money by providing them with pre-decorated event space. Embrace local culture, art, and history in your design for more authentic, immersive event experiences.

  1. Help planners visualize their event. Use event diagramming tools to show planners what their event will actually look like in your space. Highlight the fine details of your function space by displaying it in photorealistic 3D

  1. Host eco-conscious events. Implement sustainable event practices, policies, and technology to reduce the environmental impact of hotel events. Appeal to eco-conscious planners by promoting green amenities and ecological initiatives in hotel marketing campaigns.

  1. Personalize event services. Offer flexible pricing and event packages to show that your property understands what planners need and how to give it to them.
